BEHIND THE LENS

I'm an old-school photographer from the days of film and darkroom technique now working in digital. I studied at the LCP and NSAD and worked in Paris as a children's portrait photographer in my twenties: Love Lane offers fine art portraiture, promotional material for local businesses and framed scenic shots for the walls.

I have worked with life drawing and theatre techniques over a long period of time and bring these skills to my photographic work. What I am looking for in a photograph is the 'truth of the moment', expressed in a visual style that underscores that truth, and to set up a relaxed and informal atmosphere that make the shoot fun. Formality kicks in in the edit, to find the best aesthetic for the shot, and the process begins with an informal discussion of what you would like from the shoot.
